IN 1972 FOUNDATION OF THE ELECTRIC COOPERATIVES IN THE TOWNS THAT ARE WITHIN THE PROVINCE OF PAMPANGA AIMS TO LIGHT UP ALL OF THE TOWNS AND BARANGAYS. FIRST FORMED IS EPECO, WHO WAS SEPECO AND TO COVER ALMOST ALL THE TOWNS OF PAMPANGA BECAME PELCO. BECAUSE OF THE RAPID DEVELOPMENT AND EXPANSION OF ITS SCOPE, IT IS PREFERRED TO HAVE BEEN SPLIT INTO THREE PELCO I, PELCO II AND III. THE PAMPANGA III ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE, INC. OR PELCO III WAS ESTABLISHED AND REGISTERED WITH THE NATIONAL ELECTRIFICATION ADMINISTRATION NEA ON 16TH MAY, 1981 UNDER THE REGISTRATION NUMBER 121. THE PELCO III FORMALLY BEGAN OPERATIONS AS A NEW, SEPARATE SOLO AND COOPERATIVE ON THE 26TH OF MAY, 1981. THE SIX (6) TOWNS THAT ARE COVERED INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: APALIT, MACABEBE, MASANTOL, SAN SIMON, MINALIN AND STO. THOMAS. THE "MAIN OFFICE" IS MEANT MC ARTHUR HIGHWAY SAMPALOC, APALIT, PAMPANGA AND THERE ARE FIVE "SUB-OFFICES" IN EACH MUNICIPALITY.
